Beaver Creek is roughly 12 miles from Vail, less than 20 minutes by car.
About 45 miles west of the Continental Divide, just past Summit County and Copper Mountain, roughly 2.5 hours from Denver. It stretches from Vail Pass to Eagle and Gypsum, the stretch locals call Down Valley.
The Vail Valley is mainly Vail, Eagle-Vail, Beaver Creek, Avon, Minturn and Edwards, with Eagle and Gypsum making up Down Valley at the western end.
It's a mecca for outdoor adventure. Winter: skiing, snowboarding, fat biking, cross-country skiing, sledding, sleigh rides, tubing, skating and snowshoeing. Summer: hiking, mountain biking, golfing, fishing, kayaking and rock climbing.
