Some of the most popular ski terrain areas include the Northeast Bowl, and Blue Sky Basin - a favorite to visitors and locals alike, but the resort is categorized into eight large areas that each offer a unique experience on the slopes.
While Vail has a large amount of expert terrain, there are plenty of beginner trails as well! The resort offers ski and snowboard lessons for all ages and ability levels. Vail is a great destination for families!
Vail Ski Resort also hosts a variety of free concerts and events throughout the winter season. Their Spring Back to Vail event hosts the World Pond Skimming Championships and is a great time to catch some live music. Vail Ski Resort's Opening & Closing Days
Vail Ski Resort's closing day for the 2018/2019 ski season is April 21, 2019. The 2019/2020 season opening day is tentatively set for late November.
